Terms of Service

1. The service

KovaClip analyzes the videos you import (file or link), finds the strongest moments and produces edited clips: vertical reframing, captions, effects, translation and, depending on your plan, dubbing and B-roll.

Results are partly generated by artificial intelligence. They may contain mistakes (transcription, translation, choice of moments). Review your clips before publishing them.

2. Your account

You must be at least 16, or the age required in your country to enter into an online contract, and provide a valid email address.

You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity on your account. Let us know right away if you notice unauthorized use.

3. Your content

You keep ownership of the videos you import and the clips produced. You only give us permission to store and process them for as long as needed to provide the service.

You confirm you hold the necessary rights to every video you import (copyright, the right of publicity of people on screen, music). Do not import content you are not allowed to use. If you clip for a creator, make sure you have their permission.

We do not use your videos to train artificial intelligence models.

4. Prohibited uses

You may not use KovaClip for: illegal, hateful or violent content, sexual content involving minors or without consent; impersonating someone or creating misleading deepfakes; infringing other people's rights; trying to get around your plan's limits, access other people's accounts or disrupt the service.

We may remove content or suspend an account that breaks these rules.

5. Plans, credits and payment

The Free plan includes 30 credits per month. Paid plans (Creator, Pro, Studio) are monthly or yearly subscriptions billed in advance. Prices are shown on the Pricing page in US dollars, plus any taxes that apply where you live.

One credit equals one minute of analyzed video (rounded up to the next minute); dubbing costs 5 credits per minute of clip. Plan credits reset at the start of each month and do not roll over. Extra credits you buy do not expire while your account exists.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. If processing fails on our side, the credits used are returned to you automatically.

6. Renewal, cancellation and refunds

Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period. You can cancel at any time from “My account”: it stays active until the end of the period you already paid for, then your account returns to the Free plan.

Amounts already paid are not refunded, except where required by applicable law or in case of a billing error on our part. For any request, write to us within 14 days of the payment.

When you change plans, the difference is prorated and charged or credited immediately.

7. Project retention

Your projects are kept for 7 days (Free), 30 days (Creator), 90 days (Pro) or 180 days (Studio), then deleted automatically. Download your clips before then.

8. Availability and liability

We do our best to keep the service running without interruption, but cannot guarantee it. The service is provided “as is”.

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to the amounts you paid us in the last 12 months. We are not liable for indirect losses (revenue, audience, data) or for how you use published clips. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under consumer protection law.

9. Closing your account

You can delete your account at any time from “My account”. Your projects and data are then deleted and any active subscription is canceled.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. For significant changes, we will notify you by email or on the site at least 30 days in advance. If you keep using the service after that date, you accept the new terms.

11. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
